Anticipated selection process (which may be subject to change): The District reserves the right to utilize a flexible pass point (cut off) on any test part to meet the staffing needs as determined by the District. Participation in all portions of the examination process is by official invitation only. Candidates who do not participate and successfully pass all parts of the examination process will not be considered for the position.

Position details and duties: Full-time position: eight (8) hours per day; twelve (12) months per year. Basic function: The job of HVAC Mechanic is done for the purpose/s of providing HVAC services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site. This job reports to Designated Administrator.

Initial/minimum qualifications: Applicants must provide sufficient information to demonstrate that they meet the minimum (initial) qualifications, including the submission of any required certifications and supporting documentation listed below. Education and experience: Graduation from high school OR General Education Development (GED) equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in a job-related field. Any other combination of education, training, and experience, which demonstrates that the applicant is likely to possess the required skills, knowledge, or abilities, may be considered.

Licenses and other requirements: Valid California Class C Driver's License.
