Southeast Health Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Med Surg position. The shift is from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM, with three shifts per week totaling 36 scheduled hours. The contract duration is 13 weeks, starting on 08/17/2026 and ending on 11/16/2026.

The position requires 2 years of experience, but candidates must be strong with high acuity, 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratios, and proficient with insulin and heparin drips. Peritoneal dialysis is not required, but it is a plus. The facility will take new travelers and all RNs must be comfortable with high acuity and a 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratio. BLS and NIH are required. The facility requires a COVID-19 vaccination (with medical/religious exemptions) and a flu shot (with no exemptions). There is a 16-hour non-billable orientation.

Active Alabama RN license is required at the time of submission, and the permanent address must be included with the submission. Candidates must have experience working in large healthcare facilities. Previous travel experience is required, but highly experienced candidates may still be considered on a case-by-case basis. This is a do not call facility. The mile radius rule applies: the traveler’s permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility. Local candidates will not be accepted. Return traveler extension policy: former permanent staff are not eligible for travel roles for 10 years following separation. After completing 2 consecutive contracts, travelers must take a 6-month break before returning. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Pre-start modules are required, and modules are non-billable. 8+ hours of module time is not included in the bill rate.
