Dog Trainer

You are primarily responsible for delivering the training services at your assigned locations. This includes performing group classes, train and play sessions, and private lessons. You are also expected to develop all of the skills and acquire all of the knowledge necessary to be considered a Senior Dog Trainer in a relatively short period of time.Key Responsibilities:Performing New Dog Integrations, Behavior Evaluations, and Walk Assessments independentlyPerforming group classes, private lessons and Train and Play Sessions with limited support or supervision from a Senior Behavior CounselorFollowing up directly with clients on the details of their dog’s behavior (whether results from training services or otherwise)Communicating the behavior needs of dogs to all relevant staffTraining associates on recognizing key dog behavior in order to create a safe and fun environment for all dogsDriving revenue (both training and otherwise) from clients based on their dog’s behavior needsDocumenting in detail all client communications and dog observations into PetShopLearning communication techniques to become an effective client advocateStudying and reading about dog behavior through resources in the company libraryAssisting at off-site eventsPromotion to Senior Dog Trainer: it is expected that approximately 75% of Dog Trainers will be promoted to Senior Dog Trainers within 6-12 months of being made a Dog Trainer.
