Medical Technologist II

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Medical Technologist II for its Core Automated Testing Department in Indianapolis to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, operate and maintain instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality and accurate test reporting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Three or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
Six months or more of core automated or core lab experience (preferred)

Compensation: $7,500 sign-on bonus
