Materials Management Supervisor (1st shift) As a Materials Management Supervisor at Honeywell, you will oversee and ensure the success of the materials management process and team, optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. Your primary responsibilities include driving the vision and goals for the materials planning function, managing people and processes to achieve excellence in SIOP, supply planning, inventory & replenishment planning, and resolving supply chain issues. Key Responsibilities Work 1st shift 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday Develop and implement materials management strategies aligned with company objectives Lead procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management Oversee inventory levels, minimizing excess or obsolete stock while ensuring uninterrupted flow of materials to meet production requirements Manage logistics and distribution processes, coordinating with transportation providers to optimize delivery schedules Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal departments such as production, quality control, and finance Identify opportunities for process improvement within the materials management function Must Have 2+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes 4+ years of experience managing, motivating, and guiding a team Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions We Value Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field Experience in Materials Management, Operations, SIOP, Inventory Management, MRP/MPS, Procurement Logistics, and Manufacturing Good knowledge of material control systems such as MRP/SAP systems APICS or CPIM Certification Project management and problem‑solving skills Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization Experience in leading and driving change Benefits Honeywell offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, employee assistance, educational assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and paid holidays.
