Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients in accordance with nursing practice standards; collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve quality, cost‑effective outcomes. Serve as a resource person; apply age‑specific considerations and cultural diversity in care from birth to elderly. Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient, family, and significant‑other education. Document actions involved in care delivery; maintain competency and adhere to guidelines; supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with the charge nurse.
