RN - Urgent Care Specialist

This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. You will prepare patients for examinations, collect health histories, take vital signs, review medications, and document care plans. Administering treatments, diagnostic tests, injections, and medications are key responsibilities, requiring critical thinking and independent judgment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist providers with medical care, treatments, procedures, and diagnostic testing following established protocols.
• Perform triage to determine appropriate levels of care.
• Support emergency nursing procedures to promptly manage changes in patient conditions.
• Contribute to orientation and training of staff and students.
• Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Successful completion of a 2-year Registered Nurse program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

Current, unrestricted RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.
