Accepting Applicants for Proposal Submission Compass Government Solutions is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide services at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas . Schedule Monday - Friday 5 AM to 4:30 PM (Subject to change in support of the mission) Job Duties Duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Ensure Service Members (SMs) are medically cleared for Mobilization/Demobilization (MOB/DEMOB. This is a very dynamic section requiring excellent time management, critical thinking, flexibility, communication, and teamwork. The use of SOP's and published regulationsareessential to succeeding in this environment. Seeing SMs istoppriority; wait time should be kept to a minimum. Shall see an average of 4 to 6 patients per hour, (SRP) / 2 to 3 patients per hour and/or the patient per hour average of the other collective CPs in the Section, unless affected by circumstances beyond their control, which shall be reported to the Section OIC or designee. Shallcomply withall MTF productivity standards andmaintaina level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services. Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to service members. Review medical histories and progress of service members. Examine service members, make diagnosis of disease, disaster, or injury, and treat servicememberor prescribe a course of treatment. Shall administerHealthRisk Appraisal questionnaire. Initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, asappropriate. Follow-upon abnormal reports.Abnormal x-ray and lab reports received on service members seen by HCW shall be reviewed by the HCW at the time these reports are available for review.Each report shall be reviewed within one week of its receipt. Prescribe medications, asappropriate,in accordance withthe privileges and regulations. Seek adviceofconsultants whenappropriate. Facilitate servicememberaccess to medical care by recommendingappropriate referralsto other HCWsin accordance withpolicies and regulations. Prepare and document appropriatehistoryphysical examinations, and diagnosis. Maintain documentation of all treatment providedin accordance withapplicable directives and prepare such records and reports as may berequired.Ensureall documentation and reports are legible and complete. Shallcomplete each outpatient encounter in MHS Genesis at the end of each day or within 24 hours and appropriately close the record. Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest asappropriate. Advise the Medical Directorof the clinic where contracted services are being providedofany problemsencounteredor anticipated in connection with meeting the needs of service members treated. Continuing problems of any nature shall be reported by the Contractor in writing to the COR. Attend andparticipatein service member care reports, service member care conferences, team conferences, professional staffconferencesand otherappropriate professionalactivities only to the extent that such attendance and participation isrelativeto his/her assigned cases and/or performance of contract services asdeterminedby the COR or Department Chief. Adhere to the Center for Disease Controlguidelines alwaysconcerning universal precautions and the Infection Control Program while providing services under this contract. Indicate responsibility for the contents and accuracy of all prepared reports/forms by signing all such documents/records. Abide by all facility rules, regulations, and policies. Perform all duties in such a manner that they meet all Joint Commission standards. Shall follow established government and professional clinical standards andacceptedclinical protocols in the performance of duties as outlined in MTF policies and procedures. Participate in the MTF Quality Assurance program as applicable to include performance of peerreviews. Useoftelecommunicationsandinformationtechnologiesto providehealthassessment,diagnosis,treatment, consultation, education, and health-related information acrossdistances. Utilizeparaprofessionalstaff asappropriate. Shall abide by all clinical standards, rules, and procedures including requirements for licensure, credentialing, and quality assurance programs. Shall comply withall health requirements, immunizations, and vaccinations. Shallcomplete all DoD, DHA, and MTF-specified training requirements. Shall personally record hours worked in the Defense Medical Human Resources System – internet (DMHRSi) system, or other system, as required by the MTF Job Qualifications Education : Baccalaureate or Master's Degree - from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), or previously recognized accrediting body. In addition specialty PAs must complete residency or fellowship training of 12 (twelve) months or more in a medical specialty program acceptable to the DHA. NPI is required. Experience : A minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last two (2) years working as a full-time Physician Assistant in primary care medicine (e.g. family practice, general medicine, internal medicine). Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
