Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room / Circulator

This position offers a mid shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room or Circulator role is responsible for practicing independently within a clinical setting. This position requires a competent nurse who demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care and manages both routine and complex care effectively. The RN will continue to develop skills in handling contingencies in clinical nursing and will be responsible for making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required.
• Active RN License in the state of Texas or a compact state.
