Responsibilities Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed. Keep client files properly organized and up to date. Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed. Work in a hybrid model where in‑person is rarely required. Represent clients in divorce proceedings, including high‑conflict matters—handling motion practice, discovery, mediation, and evidentiary hearings. Conduct comprehensive client assessments; analyze facts and law; and design, execute, and continuously refine litigation and settlement strategies aligned to client objectives. Advocate effectively at hearings, mediations, and conferences, delivering clear oral arguments and principled negotiation to drive durable resolutions. Draft and perfect pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, proposed orders, and related contracts across a high‑volume docket. Collaborate closely with paralegals, partners, and outside professionals to ensure timely matter progression and high‑quality work product. Manage the equitable distribution of marital assets—including real property, business interests, and retirement accounts—retaining financial and valuation experts as appropriate. Maintain meticulous file management and deadline control, ensuring strict compliance with the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure, local rules, and e‑filing/e‑service protocols. Provide precise legal counsel and draft marital property, prenuptial, and postnuptial agreements that reflect client goals and Florida law. Perform targeted legal research and develop work plans that anticipate risks, evidentiary needs, and settlement opportunities. Communicate proactively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel to keep cases moving and expectations clear. Qualifications Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA). At least 1–2 years of experience handling family law issues, including real estate. 4‑year degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree are necessary. Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations. Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred. Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school. Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing. ABA membership and Spanish proficiency are strong pluses. Minimum 3+ years of family law litigation experience, including contested and uncontested matters. Demonstrated success advocating in trials, mediations, and evidentiary hearings. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with composure in highly emotional, high‑stress situations. Proven ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines. Working knowledge of real‑estate issues that intersect with family law (e.g., title, homestead, QDROs, equity distribution). Strong legal research and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail and file hygiene. Familiarity with Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure, local rules, and e‑filing/e‑service protocols. Compensation $100,000–$150,000 per year plus generous quarterly bonus and signing bonus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
