CAKE DECORATOR FOR CHEFNESS BAKERY

Overview Cake Decorator will be responsible for fulfilling orders in the Custom Cake department as well as working closely with the pastry chef and helping them fulfill all other incoming orders. Your skills in cake decorating and baking should be matched by your creativity to innovate and create new product offerings. You MUST have knowledge of working with fondant and buttercream designs. You will also be trained and responsible for stacking and filling cakes. Responsibilities Fulfilling all custom cake and sweets orders in collaboration with the Cake Coordinator and pastry chef, and assisting with the pastry chef’s pastry orders. Decorating cakes with fondant and buttercream designs; applying creative techniques to innovate and create new product offerings. Monitor and maintain the quality and presentation of all products. Work closely with the pastry chef and help oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas. Adhere to sanitation standards. Qualifications Must have experience working with fondant and buttercream cakes. Strong cake decorating and baking skills with a creative mindset. Ability to monitor quality and presentation of products. Team player with the ability to handle conflict resolution of staff as needed. Strong work ethic; reliable and flexible with responsibilities; willing to assist with other responsibilities when necessary. Must speak English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
