About the Role Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Development Engineer to join their innovative, fully remote team. This is a key position focused on the research, development, and optimization of novel chemical processes from concept to commercialization. You will lead complex R&D projects, leveraging advanced simulation and experimental techniques to achieve breakthroughs in efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. This remote role offers the freedom to work from anywhere while collaborating with a global network of scientists and engineers on challenging and impactful initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and execution of research and development projects for new chemical processes. Utilize advanced process modeling and simulation tools to predict and optimize process performance. Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to validate process designs and gather critical data. Analyze experimental results, interpret data, and provide strategic recommendations for process scale-up. Ensure all developed processes meet stringent safety, environmental, and economic targets. Author comprehensive technical reports, patents, and project proposals, and present findings to stakeholders. Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a strong research background. Over 10 years of experience in chemical process research, development, and scale-up. Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and statistical analysis. In-depth knowledge of chemical reaction engineering, separations, and process intensification. Proven track record of leading complex R&D projects in a remote or distributed team setting. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
