About the Role:
Paving the Way Multi-Service Institute in Washington, DC is looking for a passionate and driven Clinical Intern to join our dedicated team. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a dynamic, community-focused environment where your work truly makes a difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct client services under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor
Conduct intake assessments, individual therapy sessions, and group counseling as assigned
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards
Participate in regular clinical supervision, staff meetings, and case consultations
Adhere to ethical guidelines, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA regulations
Engage with community resources and assist in connecting clients to appropriate support services
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Master's or Doctoral program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
Completion of foundational clinical coursework prior to internship start
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and demonstrate cultural competency
Proficiency in clinical documentation and basic computer applications
Commitment to social justice, trauma-informed care, and community wellness
Must meet program requirements for supervised clinical hours
