Registered Nurse - Pediatric Unit

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our small, family-friendly pediatric unit. The unit specializes in caring for children from neonatal age up to 17 years, focusing primarily on general med-surg cases such as respiratory issues, failure to thrive, gastrointestinal concerns, and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor and manage acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory and gastrointestinal issues.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Experience in a pediatric or med-surg setting is preferred.
• Current certifications for BLS and PALS are essential.
• Completion of all required health screenings and immunizations as listed in the onboarding requirements.

Schedule

The position does not have a specified shift; candidates should be flexible to accommodate unit needs.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
