Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $2270 Employment Type: Travel Contract - Respiratory Therapist Travel Job Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP Setting: Hospital - Acute care / Inpatient respiratory care (hospital respiratory therapist) Shift: 12-hour days Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: Scheduled 36, guaranteed 32 Occasional Night Coverage: May be required for vacation coverage Location: Salem, Ohio (44460-2400) - Northeast Ohio respiratory therapy jobs Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital or acute care setting Valid RRT credential (state licensure as required) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Ability to work day shifts and provide occasional night coverage as needed Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical skills for acute care respiratory therapy Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis preferred Responsibilities Deliver high-quality respiratory care to inpatients in a hospital environment as an RRT Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol and bronchodilator treatments, and therapeutic interventions consistent with RRT scope of practice Provide ventilator management and weaning protocols, airway management, and monitoring of respiratory status Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals) to ensure optimal patient outcomes Assist with patient transports and special cases including Medevac, long-term care (LTC), and long-term acute care (LTAC) as needed Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and adhere to hospital protocols and respiratory care policies Provide coverage for night shifts and vacation relief to support continuity of care Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Salem, OH.
