3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:00am

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:

1. Utilize checklist to perform outdoor grounds maintenance on a regular scheduled basis to include:

A.    Keep outside trash emptied from receptacles.

B.    Pick up all trash from parking lots and grounds.

C.   Bait and replace bait stations when needed.

D.   Blow leaves, fix fences, paint, water, pull weeds, plant flowers and any other assigned duties.

E.    Help with company cookouts.

F.    Supply cleaning supplies to all buildings.

G.   Light snow removal when needed.

2. Maintain facilities equipment.

3. Assist maintenance, production, and shipping departments with cleaning and dust control in areas of production.  This would include completing the cleaning checklist for the bait production areas at the appropriate interval.

4. Monitor all of the bait areas for additional cleaning due to dust build up and perform as needed.  Document all cleaning on the checklist.

5. Assist with training of new personnel.

6. Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean working environment.

7. Be familiar with and follow safety rules and procedures including safety wear and emergency procedures.

8. Ensure good housekeeping throughout the plant.

9. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE One to two years of previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to read detailed instructions is required.  Good driving record.  Good verbal communication skills are required.  Frequent contacts and discussions are required with all levels of management, employees, and outside suppliers.  Flexibility, diplomacy, and initiative are necessary.  Ability to manage time, prioritize duties and work well under minimum supervision is required.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED Compactor, Forklift, Manlift, Pallet jack (electric and manual), Leaf blower, Snow blower, Snowplow, floor scrubber and dust control vacuum cleaner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift-up to 50 pounds frequently/100 pounds occasionally is required. Ability to crawl, crouch, and kneel, for long periods of time. Ability to be outdoors, in the elements for long periods of time. Ability to move around in a manufacturing environment and wear a respirator.
