Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.ResponsibilitiesAseptically set up, prime, initiate, manage and discontinue ECLS systems on all patient populations, ages, and complex diagnoses while in a full range of patient care settings including surgical, cardiovascular, pediatric cardiothoracic and neonatal intensive care units, adult and pediatric cardiac cath labs, adult and pediatric operating room settings. Participate in ground/air external ECLS transports. ECLS charge responsibilities including monitoring/triaging ECLS referrals, coordinating and monitoring daily ECLS operations, ECLS reference to nursing and medical leads with the clinical settings. This position requires standing/walking/positioning/pulling/lifting of heavy patients and objects (ECMO circuitry/carts).
