**Applicants should have proficient SEC/public reporting experience, preferrably from the Big 4 or working for a large-scale company** Position: Sr. Accountant Location: Hybrid Monday-Thursday, Friday remote Pay Range: $90,000-$100,000/yr Qualifications 3+ years' of professional accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Accounting/Finance SEC reporting experience Experience in public accounting (preferrably the Big 4 or large-scale enterprise) Job Description Our client is looking for a senior accountant responsible for financial external reporting and consolidations, as well as acquisitions and divestitures. Prepare and review tie out of quarterly and annual financial reports to be filed with the SEC, including press releases, registration statements, MD&A, financial statements, and accompanying footnotes, and other supplemental information; and ensure such reports comply with GAAP and SEC reporting standards Assist with gathering financial information from various corporate and region departments, maintain quarterly reporting timetable, and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones Prepare various quarterly analyses including inventory valuation reserves and balance sheet roll forwards related to debt, equity, and fixed assets Record intercompany elimination journal entries as part of the month end consolidation process Assist with acquisition and divestiture accounting for newly acquired and divested stores, including analysis, journal entries, and related account reconciliations Prepare supporting workpapers for selected financial footnote and MD&A disclosures and ensure SOX compliance Assist in verifying the mathematical accuracy of financial data presented in SEC filings and press releases Assist in audit process through the preparation of schedules and communications with external auditors Research and evaluate technical accounting issues and the related impact to the company's financial statements Assist with XBRL tagging Assist with preparation of various deliverables for Audit Committee Perform special accounting projects as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
