This facility requires a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon to provide locum tenens OR coverage during weekend periods. The medical center maintains established surgical infrastructure and protocols to support quality patient care delivery across the cardiothoracic surgery service line. On-site support staff, including first assist personnel, are in place to ensure coordinated care throughout each assigned coverage period.

Northeast Georgia‘s Blue Ridge region offers a range of outdoor and leisure activities suited to varied interests. The area provides access to whitewater rafting, trout fishing, hiking to waterfalls, and scenic train rides, along with destinations such as Chateau Elan Winery, Amicalola Falls State Park, and Helen Tubing and Helen Water Park. Apple orchards, mountain towns, and scenic drives round out the range of experiences available throughout the region.

The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide 24-hour call coverage on weekends in an on-site OR setting in Georgia from September through November. Coverage is structured to support full-time clinicians during scheduled vacation periods. First assist support is available during the assignment.
