Job Description

This role supports the production of concrete piping and related components used in underground infrastructure. You will work in a hands-on manufacturing environment, using tape measures, basic blueprints, hand tools, and power tools to assemble and finish concrete products. The position involves physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to follow project specifications accurately from prints.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret tape measures accurately to ensure precise measurements for all projects.
• Review and understand basic blueprints and project prints to follow build-out specifications for each concrete product.
• Assemble rebar to fit inside molds for concrete piping, using proper techniques and ensuring correct placement.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support mechanical assembly and concrete production tasks.
• Lift and move materials and finished parts weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
• Drag and transport finished concrete parts to the designated finishing area.
• Operate hand sanders and other finishing tools to smooth and finish concrete surfaces once products are fully dried.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met on every project.
• Adapt to different projects and build-outs, recognizing that each job may have unique requirements based on the prints.
• Support general labor and construction-related tasks around the facility as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a dusty and dirty manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and a willingness to help out across various areas of the facility.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to understand and work from basic blueprints and project prints.
• Comfort and experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly during the workday.
• Basic hand-eye coordination to perform assembly and finishing tasks safely and accurately.
• Attention to detail to maintain quality standards in concrete production and finishing.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, concrete, or construction.
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance.
• Willingness to assist with general labor tasks throughout the facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in concrete work or construction is a significant plus.
• Background in mechanical assembly or general labor in an industrial setting.
• Experience with masonry, sheet metal, or related trades is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Comfort working in a dusty and dirty manufacturing facility.
• Readiness to learn new processes and accept training on specific production methods.

Work Environment

This position is based in a dusty and dirty manufacturing facility focused on concrete production. The role operates on 1st shift, starting at either 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. and continuing until the day’s work is completed, typically 8–10 hours per day. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts, supporting a stable and predictable work-life balance. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other construction-related equipment while performing mechanical assembly and finishing tasks in an industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
