Line Cook

Position Details:Our team is looking for an experienced cook who is familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. This person is responsible for ensuring that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests. Our ideal candidate has outstanding time management skills as well as a team-first mindset to effectively assist other kitchen personnel and keep our operation running smoothly and efficiently.Responsibilities:Consistently providing quality food preparation and serviceProviding speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environmentCleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipmentUnderstanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipmentFlexibility in executing varying events and seasonal menusMaintaining Health Department cleanliness and safety standardsAdhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is servedCook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu itemsKeep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rulesSet up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shiftDemonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associatesPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.This job description serves as an overview of the responsibilities associated with this role, with the understanding that these duties may evolve over time.
