Healthcare Support is seeking a travel nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

LDRP RN (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)

Position Details

• No local candidates (must live more than 50 miles from the facility)
• EKG exam required
• Some experience "catching babies" preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Higher-acuity L&D experience strongly preferred
• Fetal monitoring experience required (certification not required)
• Floating within Women's Health ( MIU only )
• 12-hour day shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and major holidays
• No call

Required Certifications

• BLS
• NRP

Preferred Certification

• ACLS

Unit Details

• 11 Labor Rooms
• 2 OB rooms
• 2 Operating Rooms
• 3 OB ED (Triage) rooms
• 12-bed Antepartum/Women's OBGYN unit
• Approximately 200 deliveries per month

Equipment

• Infant warmer
• GE fetal monitor
• Pulse oximeter
• Blood glucose monitor

Required Skills

• Fetal monitoring
• Cardiac monitoring

Patient Population

• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• External cephalic versions
• Cerclage procedures

Staffing

• Typically 3 RNs and 1 technician per shift

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

• 1:1 during active labor
• 1:3 for antepartum patients
• Ratios are subject to change based on patient acuity and facility needs.
