Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum, prioritizing safety, comfort, and patient education.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, and administer medications per approved protocols.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, and ancillary teams; assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure clear handoffs at shift change.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding support; advocate for patient-centered care.

Requirements
- Availability to work a 13-week travel assignment in the Lowville, NY area
- Ability to work the scheduled nights shift (6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.) with every other weekend
- Commitment to 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Willingness to comply with hospital policies, documentation standards, and unit-specific workflows
