Software Engineer

Software Engineer – Full Stack As a full‑stack software engineer you will maintain and execute a network of simulators and modeling capabilities that provide rehearsal and exercise capabilities for various units. These simulators are located throughout the country and the client’s engineering team is responsible for managing the network, maintaining an Authority to Connect (ATC), improving system design and architecture, performing tier1–3 troubleshooting during operations, managing hardware installs, lifecycle management, software releases and deployments, adding new features, and driving innovation. The software engineering team compiles and runs the provided source code, sets up CI/CD pipelines, breaks down operational requirements for the simulator into manageable tasks or features in Jira, implements those tasks or features using various programming languages, assists in innovation initiatives, improves skills through training opportunities, integrates with other applications and simulations, and creates or improves the development environment. You will operate on an Agile Scrum team, communicate daily, and may be required to provide onsite support when needed. Growth opportunities and innovation on simulation systems are integral to this role. You Have Experience with Java, C++, or C# Experience working on simulation systems Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications Experience administering CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions Knowledge of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networking protocol TS/SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree Nice If You Have Experience with Python, JavaScript, or SQL Experience in virtualization Experience in DevSecOps Experience working with Jira Experience with Kubernetes Knowledge of MVRsimulation's Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) Knowledge of BSI's software MACE Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required. Compensation Projected salary range: $86,800.00–$198,000.00 (annualized US$).
