Ophthalmic Technician I

Position Summary
Under supervision, the Ophthalmic Assistant works with Ophthalmologists to provide patient care in a clean, well-lit office setting. Their responsibilities include preparing patients, performing exams and tests, administering medications and treatments, assisting with procedures, educating patients, maintain records, monitoring patients and maintaining equipment.
Minimum Requirements

• 0 years of experience required.
• High School or Equivalent (GED)

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience preferred
• Ophthalmic competencies preferred:
  • Fundus photography
  • Ocular Coherence Tomography
  • Automated and Manual Biometry
  • Corneal Topography and Tomography
  • Automated Visual Field testing
  • Specular Microscopy
  • Fluorescein and ICG angiography
  • Ophthalmic Ultrasound/UBM testing

Pay Range
$21.96 - $32.01

• Primary Shift: Day
• Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
• IMPORTANT: This position is listed as an Ophthalmic Technician I, but based on the minimum requirements that are met, the candidate of choice will be hired as an Ophthalmic Technician I, II, or III.
