Wrap, tape, and provide first aid to athletes as needed. Coordinate care for injured athletes by providing direct access into the University of Missouri Health Care system. Develop home exercise rehabilitation programs for athletes and manage and treat injuries in the Rec Complex Athletic Training Room. Prepare and maintain various records, reports, and information on athletic injuries and treatments. Serve as a preceptor in the undergraduate athletic training program, acting as a clinical site for athletic training students from the University of Missouri ATEP. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. Required Qualifications Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) by the Board of Certification (BOC). Athletic Trainer licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Preferred Qualifications Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. The role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. The position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
