Qualifications Superior customer service standards A High School diploma or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule An interest in making a difference in the world Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable Responsibilities Assist in determining the suitability of donors. You establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality. You respond to and assist with handling donor reactions. Monitors donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product. Sets up, disconnects, and operates the automated plasmapheresis machines. Disconnects and disposes of all contaminated disposable equipment. Occupational Demands Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms. Requires use of personal protective equipment. Work is performed standing for 6 to 8 hours per day. Physical requirements include bending and twisting, frequent hand and finger movements, ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and distance/near vision. Must be able to listen to and understand information and follow instructions.
