Inventory Associate- Manufacturing

Connect Staffing is hiring an Inventory Foundation Associate for a manufacturing plant in Henderson, NV. This is a temporary assignment (approximately 12 weeks, with potential extension) paying $18$22/hr. In this role, you will organize a backroom inventory cage using 5S methodology, cross-reference physical inventory against item master records, and set up Kanban replenishment cards and bin labels throughout the facility. This is a project-based role with a consistent day schedule and overtime available.

Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00am3:45pm

Responsibilities

  • Sort, clean, zone, and label the backroom inventory cage following 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Apply temporary ID labels to unidentified or unmatched items and generate a disposition list of unlabeled or obsolete items for Planning team review.
  • Update the Kanban card register as each placement is completed.
  • Photograph or import inventory items to a defined standard, then name and organize image files by Item No. in a shared drive folder for bulk ERP import.
  • Participate in verification walkthroughs with the Inventory Control and Planning Manager to confirm accuracy of Kanban placements and labels.
  • Communicate daily progress and open issues to the Planning Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, logging).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Experience using a label printer and barcode scanner in a warehouse or production setting.
  • Experience cross-referencing physical inventory against item master or ERP records.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and complete reconciliation logs with minimal supervision.
  • Experience photographing and organizing inventory assets or parts for system import.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Drug screen required.
  • Background check required.
  • E-Verify / work authorization required.
  • Must communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout a full shift.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Steel-toed boots required (employee-provided).
