Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance. Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence-based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies. Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision-making, problem-solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes. Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high-quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery. Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient-centered care. Demonstrates professionalism, supports ongoing education and development, maintains confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards and organizational policies. Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient focused care. [Required] Ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of the healthcare team to establish, define, and refine departmental goals, resolve patient care problems, and implement systems for coordinating and integrating nursing in the healthcare delivery system. [Required] Demonstrates knowledge of state, federal, and accreditation regulations that guide nursing services by updating departmental policies, practices, and procedures while ensuring compliance.
