What Youll Do:

As a valued member of our OB healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• 
  Ensures age/developmentally appropriate peri-operative and anesthesia care is provided in accordance with age-specific care guidelines for the specific age groups served and any present co-morbidities.
  
  



• 
  Supports patient safety, quality improvement and infection prevention when performing his or her job functions and through participation in facility and departmental initiatives.
  
  



• 
  Appropriately documents and maintains confidential records according to departmental and hospital standards.
  
  



• 
  Maintains flexibility with scheduling, promptness and readiness to provide patient care as needed.
  
  



• 
  Demonstrates professionalism through teamwork and collaboration and seeks ongoing professional educational growth.
  
  



• 
  Conserves resources to address cost containment.
  
  

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.

CRNA Requirements:

• 
  Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Masters Degree or Higher Required.
  
  



• 
  Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board
  
  



• 
  Current CPR Certification ACLS, BLS
  
  



• 
  Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
  
  



• 
  Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
