Miner 1 (Experienced Miner) (East Tennessee Mines) Key Accountabilities Adhere to all MSHA regulatory and Nyrstar standards Must have a Safety-First mindset; leading the way to safe work environment. Promote and assist in maintaining a positive work culture Demonstrate strong leadership qualities Must have competencies to drill to design Candidate must possess the ability to complete all 5 phases of the mining cycle including: Drilling to design Bolt / Bore with split feeds Blasting Material movement Ground support Utility installation Requirements / Qualifications 5 years underground hard rock mining experience Experience with mine specific equipment Excel in jumbo and ground control Must have completed all 5 phases of the miner cycle Minimum 1 skill from previous level Ability to obtain explosives license 7 days on / 7 days off rotating shifts Additional Information Benefits start on day 1 Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, and retirement plan Access to Employee Assistance program Employee discounts for local attractions Possible relocation assistance available (All policy requirements must be met to qualify.
