Role Description The Commercial Insurance Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Clarksville, TN. This role is responsible for advising commercial clients on insurance coverage options, preparing quotes, and placing policies that align with each client’s risk profile and business needs. The agent will conduct needs-based consultations, review existing policies, and identify coverage gaps across property, casualty, and other lines. Daily tasks include prospecting and following up with leads, managing renewals, handling customer inquiries and policy changes, and maintaining accurate account documentation in agency systems. The role also involves collaborating with underwriters and carrier representatives, participating in sales meetings and trainings, and supporting a high-quality customer experience consistent with Legacy Insurance’s standards. Qualifications Strong foundation in Insurance and Casualty Insurance, with the ability to interpret and explain commercial coverage options. Experience in Insurance Brokerage, including working with multiple carriers and identifying suitable products for diverse business clients. Proven Sales skills, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing new business in a commercial environment. Excellent Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on responsive communication, relationship building, and client retention. Relevant state insurance licenses (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe), preferably in Property & Casualty. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Comfort with using agency management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain high ethical standards. Prior experience as a commercial insurance agent or in a related insurance sales role is preferred.
