Inventory Management and Supply Chain LeadershipResponsible for the management processes of inventory, distribution, shipping, and receiving at member hospital. Principal accountabilities include:Leadership competencies: business acumen, collaborates, developing people, focus on results, leading effective teams, managing change, personal leadership, and strategic thinkingStandards of performance: respect, integrity, compassion, collaboration, stewardship, accountability, qualityResponsibilities include:Coordinating the consolidation and standardization of supply chain management services across the system including development of SOPs, policies, and education.Monitoring and providing adequate inventory levels (par level management).Managing the operations of multiple departments, inpatient and outpatient facilities for supplies and equipment provided by central supply.Ensuring supervisors and staff provide the highest quality of care in supply management and that all supply areas meet The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local recommended practices.Designing and evaluating processes to improve supply distribution to ensure positive patient care results.Determining the appropriate staff mix for departments and developing processes to screen, interview, hire, train, and maintain the competency of all department staff.Collaborating with supply chain service line director in developing the level of patient services and day to day operations of the departments.Responsible for EOC (environment of care), VAT (value analysis team), and emergency preparedness committees at each facility ensuring the appropriate staff are educated on any processes that need facilitated.Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Licenses and certifications: Central supply certification. Experience and skills: Technical experience: 5 years in hospital central supply/materials management. Supervisory experience: 2 years. Physical activities: Intermittent hand manipulation required. Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds.
