Project Superintendent

Project SuperintendentWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to oversee and manage day-to-day operations on our active construction renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supervising projects from commencement through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are strictly maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential renovation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and tasks across active job sites.Responsibilities:Lead onsite construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scopeSupervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnelEnforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environmentRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specificationsSchedule inspections, track progress, and maintain accurate daily reports/logsConduct regular site meetings to monitor progress, address concerns, and drive resolutionsCollaborate with project managers to manage change orders and resolve field-related issuesMonitor material deliveries and manage inventory to avoid delaysEnsure quality control procedures are followed, and high standards are maintainedMaintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, local officials, and other external project stakeholdersQualifications:5+ years of experience in construction management or as a superintendent, preferably in commercial, residential, or mixed-use developmentsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experienceExperience working in occupied affordable housing environments strongly preferredStrong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codesProven ability to manage multiple trades and meet aggressive timelinesExcellent problem-solving and leadership skillsProficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, Bluebeam)OSHA 30 Certification preferredAbility to read and interpret construction documents and plansStrong communication and organizational skillsValid driver's license and willingness to travel as required by business needsPhysical Requirements:Ability to walk, stand, and navigate active job sites for extended periodsLift and carry materials and tools up to 50 lbsWork in varying indoor/outdoor conditions and weatherThe CompanyAPEX is a nationwide Construction and Facilities Management firm that was founded on a simple premise…to provide owners of commercial real estate with support across the full lifecycle of their investments.
