Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a PCU/MedSurg/Telemetry position at a critical access hospital, requiring 5 years of experience and the ability to perform charge nurse duties.

Details

• Critical access, 25-bed hospital setting
• PCU/MedSurg/Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 7p-7a, including every other weekend rotation
• Floating required to other units (ED, MCH) as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (VT or compact) required upon acceptance
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
• Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across PCU, MedSurg, and Telemetry patient populations
• Holiday coverage required
• Agency professionals required to attend department quarterly education sessions
• Located in Newport, Vermont in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border
• Area offers outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
• Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transportation
• Support provided throughout the transition to the new role and community
