Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 trauma center in Bettendorf, IA, requiring cardiac experience and an IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical IP unit within a regional hospital setting
• Med Surg/Telemetry patient population requiring cardiac experience
• Manages drips including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amio
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float required to local campuses within the same discipline
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• IL license required at time of offer
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior cardiac experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• New grads accepted
• At least one completed travel contract preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference required, dated within 2 years of employment/contract

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Work at a facility recognized as a Level 3 trauma center
• Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 12 months
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must maintain a taxable address outside 50 miles of the facility
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited to one day off request during the periods of 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2, regardless of holidays worked
