Key Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room setting (RN-OR)
• Demonstrated proficiency in sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs
• Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking abilities
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe patient care during operative procedures
• Prepare the operating suite and instruments prior to surgery
• Monitor and assess patient status intraoperatively and respond to emergencies as needed
• Document nursing interventions and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families before and after procedures
