To keep our crews and equipment running strong, we're looking for a reliable Mechanic Assistant to support our shop and fleet maintenance operations.About the RoleAs a Mechanic Assistant, you'll work alongside our lead mechanic to keep trucks, trailers, mowers, and landscape equipment in safe, reliable working condition. This is a great opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who wants to build hands-on experience and grow their skills in fleet and equipment maintenance.What You'll DoAssist with routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, mowers, and landscape equipmentPerform oil changes, filter replacements, tire checks, and other basic maintenance tasksHelp diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on equipmentKeep the shop organized, clean, and safeMaintain accurate maintenance logs and parts inventoryAssist with pickup and delivery of parts, equipment, or vehicles as neededSupport the lead mechanic on larger repairs and projectsFollow all safety protocols when working with tools, equipment, and vehiclesWhat We're Looking ForBasic mechanical knowledge or prior experience with small engines, trucks, or equipment maintenance preferredWillingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanicsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop and outdoor environmentValid driver's licenseReliable, punctual, and a strong team playerWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experience401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offOpportunities for advancementSafety equipment providedHow to ApplyApply online at blackjackhorticulture.com/careersBlackjack Horticulture is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Blackjack Horticulture Careers
