Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 for a contract opportunity in Ronkonkoma, NY.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 10 years' experience in aerospace industry or related field.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical and Pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work on and around High pressure and combustible gases.
• Must have ability to operate small hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Ability to work with mechanical devices.
• Ability to work well with others and be part of the team.
• Ability to follow instructions and describe work performed.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic work environment (i.e. come in early, stay late, offset lunch / break when required).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• Knowledge of Soldering, Welding and brazing techniques a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 7:30 AM - 4 PM.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
