Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Level 1 Trauma facility
License: Valid nursing license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required


Must-Have: Level I Trauma experience preferred.


Description:
Shift hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Candidate must be willing to float to an Emergency Transitional Care Unit as needed.
Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine fit.
If the clinical screening is passed and meets guidelines, the candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.
Manager interviews will be conducted.
First-time travelers are not accepted.
Maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed.
Every third weekend shift is required.
Candidate will be expected to work during one of two upcoming holidays and surrounding days.
Floating to other units may occur as needed.
A blocking of schedule is not approved.
The Emergency Department consists of 74 treatment spaces and includes a designated trauma bay.
Telemetry capabilities are available in all beds.
Negative pressure rooms are utilized as necessary for specific patient needs.
Care for COVID-19 patients may be required.
Facility is tobacco and fragrance-free.


Expected patient demographic includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily patient census is approximately 260 visits.
Patient ratios during the day and night shifts are 4 patients per nurse.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services among others.
Special procedures and equipment handled include trauma assessments and advanced life support technologies.
Travel experience is required, and prior charge experience is preferred.
Candidates must possess skills in managing acute medical conditions and trauma.
Charting experience in an electronic health record system, particularly in Epic, is preferred.
