TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Newport News, Virginia, 23601!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months of medical/surgical experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - iCare experience required. - EPIC charting system experience required. Description: The Registered Nurse will be part of the medical surgical float pool. This role requires floating to multiple units as needed. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Experience in treating patients with a variety of diagnoses and conditions is essential. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. The nurse must be able to adapt to different care settings including general surgery, neurology, and orthopedics. General oncology care experience is preferred, but administration of chemotherapy is not required. Weekend coverage is expected. Floating may be required based on the facility's needs. The candidate should maintain a professional demeanor and demonstrate strong communication skills. All candidates must comply with current health and safety guidelines and regulations.
