Ultrasound Technician

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Ultrasound Tech - General

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Experience: Four years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech, including travel experience.

License: Active Sonography license with the state Board of Medical Imaging.

Certifications: BLS from the AHA required. Must be registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in both Abdomen and OB/GYN.

Must-Have: Must have the ability to perform OB ultrasound. Must be capable of operating state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. Must possess interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively in a team environment. Must demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.

Description: Variable times for Day/Swing shift. Time anywhere from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM. Specialty-relevant certification must be submitted at the time of application. Travel experience is required. Epic charting experience is mandatory. Ability to perform various ultrasound procedures is essential. Experience with different patient demographics, including Pediatrics and Geriatrics, is required. Interdisciplinary support available within the facility. Candidates may be assigned to various units within the facility. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation. Prior employees may have restrictions on submitting for travel positions. Modules are non-billable and may be required based on specialty. All licenses and certifications must be maintained and updated regularly.
