Job Description

We are seeking a Chemical Operator to support liquid chemical transfer operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role involves working with pumps, hoses, tanks, totes, and drums while safely handling and transferring chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps and hoses to transfer liquid chemicals.
• Load and unload tanks, totes, drums, and railcars.
• Label products and verify shipments using written documentation.
• Perform material handling and heavy lifting throughout the shift.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Essential Skills

• Experience working with pumps and fluid transfer systems.
• Chemical Operator, Compounder, or Mixer experience.
• Industrial or heavy manufacturing experience.
• Tank loading and unloading experience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Sit-down forklift experience.
• Experience with valves, hoses, and chemical transfer equipment.
• Strong attention to safety procedures.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Reliable attendance and work ethic.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Joliet,IL.
