Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health issues and create personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant techniques.
• Collaborate with clients to set realistic therapeutic goals and monitor their progress throughout the treatment process, ensuring adaptive strategies are utilized as needed.
• Provide teletherapy options for clients who prefer virtual sessions or have accessibility challenges, thus broadening access to our essential services.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation to comply with ethical and regulatory standards, reflecting our commitment to professionalism and care.
• Engage in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and stay informed on emerging practices in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve supporting a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. You will implement culturally sensitive approaches that cater to the unique experiences and backgrounds of our clients in Hialeah and surrounding areas, ultimately helping them lead more fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current and valid license in Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trusting therapeutic relationships with clients and allies.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach, along with a non-judgmental attitude towards clients' experiences.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities essential for effective case management and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing therapy to diverse populations, particularly in treating adults with trauma-related issues, anxiety, and depression.
• Familiarity with online counseling platforms and telehealth practices to effectively conduct virtual therapy sessions.
• Participation in professional development courses or workshops focusing on relevant areas of mental health care.
