About the Position

Job Title

Travel Mammography Technologist – Breast Center

Location

Ada, OK | Outpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 5x8 (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | No weekends | No call

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols, presenting completed studies to radiologists or physicians for interpretation
• Consistently observe patients before, during, and after procedures; apply appropriate immobilization devices and maintain radiation safety standards
• Assist radiologists with special procedures including needle localizations and biopsies; perform all QC on the stereo unit
• Assume responsibility for portions of MQSA quality standards, including processor QA, darkroom fog, and screen-film testing
• Verify accuracy of all data entered or retrieved from physician orders and the computer system prior to performing procedures; utilize EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient care; assist with orientation and training of new staff as needed

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Active ARRT(R)(M) certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Mammography
• Proficiency with GE mammography equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with QA/QC processes in a mammography or breast imaging setting
• Familiarity with MQSA quality standards and documentation requirements
• Experience working in an outpatient breast center environment
