Outpatient Physical Therapist - 5x8 Schedule

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist. The therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Document medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner, in compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Ensure that patient care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs and provide a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Develop an individualized professional growth plan and pursue further education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand and participate in the organization's performance improvement initiatives.

Schedule

This position requires a 5x8 hour work schedule, with evaluations lasting 60 minutes and follow-ups occurring every 30 minutes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for the practice of physical therapy.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is desirable.
