With only a few students currently on IEPs, you’ll have the ability to provide individualized attention where it’s needed most, while fostering an inclusive, positive atmosphere for all learners.

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois General Education and Special Education teaching certifications required (pending certification also considered)
• Previous teaching experience in special education or inclusive settings is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and special education law
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Passion for creating equitable, engaging learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt curriculum to meet student goals and IEP requirements
• Collaborate with staff, families, and specialists for student success
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
