Summer Instructor Lead

Summer Instructor Lead Part-time, temporary positions beginning 06/03/2026 - 08/31/2026. Location: Community Education Scheduled Hours/Days: As needed Qualifications: Applicant must be 16 years of age to apply. Desire to invest in individual achievement. Desire to provide an organized and positive learning environment. Evidence of relationship building with youth. Evidence of specific sport or program knowledge and experience. Evidence of initiative taking and self-directing. Pay Rate/Range: $16.10/hr.-$17.45/hr. Compensation/Benefits/Perks: This position is not eligible for benefits Responsibilities: Supervisors will attend staff training the evening of June 3rd. Supervisors will lead the administration of the established curriculum. Supervisors will oversee program staff in their particular program, and are responsible for the coaching effectiveness of staff and the quality of the program, with help of the recreation coordinator. Supervisors will oversee child behavior, and implement the disciplinary action plan as needed. Supervisors will arrive early, know and fully execute the plan for each day, engage 100% throughout the program, teach general disciplines of each activity, enhance skill development, build relationships with youth, and communicate as needed with parents/guardians. Supervisors will show enthusiasm and create fun, positive experiences through words, actions, and non-verbal's. Supervisors will keep track of time worked and record it on timesheets. Supervisors will openly communicate with the recreation coordinator, in a timely manner, regarding vacation requests, program issues, etc. Supervisors will be required to fill in for up to two Saturday swim lessons, OR two evening swim lesson dates (if aquatics staff)
