American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift assignment requiring Ohio RCP licensure and ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Respiratory therapy department position

Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00

Registered (RRT) or Certified (CRT) Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care

Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure required if applicable

BLS certification through AHA required

ACLS certification through AHA required

NRP certification required

PALS certification through AHA required

Minimum 18 months permanent experience in the specialty preferred

Two supervisory references (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) required for consideration

Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start and updated annually

Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment and develop plans of care based on diagnosis

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate

Perform advanced respiratory care modalities

Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment based on patient outcomes

Educate patients and families about illness and available community support programs

Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate

Facility is 100% tobacco free with no smoking or tobacco use permitted on site

Nicotine-free requirement applies to all travelers except nurses and CSTs

Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this facility for 1 year from their previous end date
