Title: RN - Pediatric Infusion
Location: Charlotte North NC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift 10hr Day Shift - 40 Shift Information 0800-1730
SimpliFi Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No Yes - Manager to conduct final interview.
On Call, Call Back Requirements No
Weekend Rotation every 5th weekend Holiday Requirements 1 Major and 1 Minor Holiday.
Floating Requirements None
Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Pediatric Infusion RN to provide outpatient infusion care for pediatric hematology, oncology, neuro-oncology, GI, endocrinology, and other specialty populations. Candidates must have strong pediatric infusion experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 10-Hour Days (40 hours/week)
• Typical Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Department may utilize 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts based on operational needs
• Scheduled weekdays may vary
• No Call
• Floating: None
• Schedule Cycle: Every 6 weeks

Facility & Department Information

• Outpatient Infusion Center
• 25 outpatient infusion rooms
• 2 procedure rooms
• Operates at approximately 50–60% daily capacity
• RN-to-patient ratio: 1:3

Patient Population

Pediatric patients receiving:

• Hematology treatments
• Oncology and Neuro-Oncology therapies
• Gastroenterology infusions
• Endocrinology treatments
• Other specialty infusion services

RequirementsExperience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Strong pediatric infusion experience required
• Pediatric Oncology and Hematology experience preferred
• Outpatient pediatric infusion experience strongly preferred
• Candidates currently working inpatient may be considered if they have previous strong outpatient infusion experience
• First-time travelers may be considered based on overall background

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN License
• BLS
• PALS
• APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses)

Support Staff & Resources

• CNA support for patient rooming and vital signs
• Receptionist/HUC available
• Charge Nurse available
• IV/VAT Team available
• Advanced Practice Providers onsite during operating hours
• Respiratory Therapy support available

Technology

• EMR: Epic
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Omnicell

Orientation

• New Employee Orientation (NEO)
• 2–3 days of department-specific orientation

Scheduling & Holiday Requirements

• Weekend rotation: Every 5th weekend
• Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Requested time off subject to manager approval

Traveler Requirement

• Traveler's permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility/home unit to qualify.
